Skyrocket Your Son Or Daughter’s Skills, Enhance Their Soccer Experience, and Keep Them Learning, Growing, & Improving!!!
Welcome To Micro Magic… Montana’s Premier Player Development Soccer League!
If you, or anyone you know, have a son or daughter who loves to play soccer, and is looking for the next step that will skyrocket their skills & enhance their soccer experience, Micro Magic is the place to start! The purpose of Micro Magic is to enable soccer players and their families to enjoy the game of soccer at a level between recreational and club teams. With Micro Magic there are no tryouts and no traveling.
The Four Biggest Reasons Why Your Son or Daughter Should Play Micro Magic
Skyrocket Skills, Develop Confidence & Increase Success- You will see a dramatic improvement in your players’ skills, confidence and their overall success. Total player development is the primary focus of Micro Magic. The Micro Magic player development Model includes:
a) Two Organized Practices A Week b) Weekly Skills Training Sessions Sponsored By Professional and College Coaches c) Individual Skills Training – FREE I-Soccer Home Training Program that enables your son or daughter to develop all of the essential skills in a fun and competitive atmosphere! You will see a marked improvement in their game after using this program.
Certified Coaches – No more hoping and praying that your son or daughter will get a good coach… All Coaches are approved by a Coaching Director, and are required to complete a youth coaching course. Players also have access to college players & coaches that are there to help them learn, grow, improve and succeed!!
More Games – Lets face it, the games are the payoff for all the hard work at practice. With Micro Magic you get double the bang for your buck!!! Teams play two games per week on Saturdays during April and May. This gives the kids a great opportunity to showcase their growing skills, while having a blast!!! Games are played at Amend Park.
Increased Team Play, Player Commitment & Competition – It is a proven fact that strong competition develops strong players. Micro Magic brings together a perfect blend of players and coaches that want more than just practicing one day a week or playing one game a week. Teams and players are committed to giving their best and in so doing, bring out the best in each other.
Team Formation:
Teams are formed after sign-ups are completed. There are no tryouts or evaluations. All players register online, and teams will be organized and distributed at the parent meeting in February. Teams fill up early and are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Team formation is usually by gender and age groupings (i8s in one group, 9s&10s in one group and 11s&12s in one group) but is dependent on the total number and type of registrations received. When possible, teams will be organized by neighborhood, school, and car pooling.
2 Requirements for Team Organization
1. Players must meet the age requirements (See Age Matrix Below). 2. Players must be from the same neighborhood & school or be approved by the Director of Coaching.

Practice and Game Commitment – From late March to the end of May, teams will typically practice twice per week with their coach and attend a technical session once per week.
Game Play- Teams will play two games per week on Saturdays during April and May. They will also play in the Stockman Bank/Magic City Soccer Classic tournament that is scheduled Saturday and Sunday May. Micro teams are allowed to attend one outside tournament, determined by team. League travel, if any, will be limited to about two hours travel time, i.e. Miles City, Laurel, etc.
Playing Time – Each player should play 50% of each game. This is subject to the coach’s evaluation of injury, preparation of player, and behavior of the player.
Player registration for 2013 is $135.00 for U08 players. This cost includes a t-shirt. Player registration for 2013 for U09-U12 players is $185. The cost includes the uniform (two jerseys, shorts and socks). Players who register after January 15th will be charged a late fee of $25 and put on a wait list. All spring league registration is online.
Team Families & Volunteers - Each team is required to have a coach, assistant coach, team manager, field person, office helper, volunteer hours tracker, and a Classic tournament helper. All of these positions require a time commitment for job completion during the season. Each team is also required to sell one page worth of ads for the Classic tournament program. Teams without all volunteer positions filled may not be scheduled for season play and disbanded. Teams scheduled in the league but lacking in the proper conduct of the volunteer positions may not be scheduled in the Classic tournament and/or may be removed from the league schedule.
All Micro families are expected to volunteer at least 5 hours of their time in support of their player’s team. All Micro teams are responsible for ads in the Magic City Classic tournament handbook. This money is collected by teams from interested vendors in early March and goes into the general fund to help offset player fees. Each player will be required to submit a $50 Player Bond, due to their team's volunteer hour tracker by March 1, 2013. In the event that volunteer hours are not met, ads are not sold, or both, the Player Bond check will be cashed to satisfy this obligation. If hours and ad requirements are met, the Player Bond will be shredded. Player Bond checks should be post dated June 30, 2013.
All fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable. No bill will be mailed. Payment is made online with credit or debit card. Fees paid toward one child who later drops the club may not be transferred to another sibling. Families are responsible for contacting the office in a timely manner if there is any question of a player balance or if financial aid is needed. If financial aid is needed, forms must be obtained from the office by January 1 and submitted every year that aid is requested, no later than February 1. Player uniforms are withheld and player will not be allowed to play for all outstanding balances. In addition, registrations for the new soccer year from families with outstanding balances from any previous season will not be accepted.
The week of January 21st will be the fittings for the t-shirts and uniforms. Uniform try-on and meeting times will be posted on the Website calendar
In February, Micro parents will attend a Micro organizational meeting, sign-up for volunteer positions, receive their player's roster, and meet other team parents and the team coach.
All Magic City Soccer Club coaches, players, parents, and administrators are expected to be informed about and to abide by the MYSA “ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY” covering verbal and physical abuse directed toward any player, administrator, coach, referee, volunteer, parent, or anyone else.
