MGSC Goalkeeping Clinic

Magic City Soccer Club announces 6 week Fall Goalkeeper Clinic beginning September 10 and concluding October 15.

Sessions will be 1 hour long to be conducted at Amend Park.

Sessions will begin at 4pm

The cost for the program is $120

Magic City is aware of the unique demands required of a Goalkeeper. These sessions will focus on enhancing Goalkeepers’ technical abilities, including foot movement, set positions, communication, shot stopping, handling crosses and communication. Players are expected to participate in long sleeve shirts and pants. All sessions will be run by a licensed Goalkeeping Coach.

Lead Coach: Sarah Leiby

Sarah is originally from West Chester, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia. Collegiately, she played at the Division I level at the University of Vermont. As a goalkeeper, she led the America East Conference in saves during the 2011 season and set the single-season record for most minutes played by a goalkeeper at UVM. She was also a four-time AEC academic conference selection. After graduating, she began coaching in Spearfish, SD. First, with the Spearfish HS boys program and local youth programs before becoming the Assistant Coach at Black Hills State University in their inaugural 2016 season. Currently, she is the Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at MSU Billings. Sarah holds an USSF ‘D’ License, NSCAA Goalkeeper Level 2 Diploma, and NSCAA Futsal Level 1 Diploma. She began working with Magic City during the fall 2017 season.
